Hunter Conklin
Executive Chef
As Executive Chef at Brasserie la Banque, Hunter Conklin brings a thoughtful, ingredient-driven approach to classic French cuisine. A Kentucky native and Culinary Institute of America graduate, Hunter launched his culinary career in New York City with formative roles at Michelin-starred restaurants like Lincoln Ristorante and Del Posto. He went on to join the opening team at Benno under acclaimed Chef Jonathan Benno before relocating to Charleston, where he held key positions at FIG, The Grocery, and helped open Lola Rose.
Hunter’s culinary style is rooted in seasonality and sustainability, drawing constant inspiration from the local farmers, purveyors, and fisheries. His menus aim to offer something for everyone, balancing bold, thoughtful flavors with an inclusive and approachable dining experience. Outside the kitchen, Hunter enjoys fishing, gardening, foraging, and exploring Charleston’s trails with his dog. He’s proud to be part of a restaurant that’s helping raise the bar in Charleston’s evolving culinary landscape.
